Shift4Shop’s Delivery Estimates Feature

One of the biggest concerns for a customer is when they’re going to receive their order. The speed of their shipment can often affect their decision to make a purchase in the first place. It’s extremely helpful to customers if they can see a delivery estimate without first needing to place items in their cart. By giving them this information right away, you can encourage them to go through with their purchase — and reduce misunderstandings about fulfillment times.

Shift4Shop’s Delivery Estimates feature allows you to display an estimated delivery date right on the product page. You can fully configure these estimates to take your fulfillment schedule into account, along with your shipping methods and the customer’s ZIP code. By giving customers a quick estimate of when they can expect their order to arrive, you can increase their confidence in your business and improve your conversion rate.

Delivery Estimates Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I get Delivery Estimates on my Shift4Shop store?

The Delivery Estimates feature is automatically included with Shift4Shop’s free End-to-End eCommerce plan. Your store also needs to be connected to UPS or FedEx real-time shipping rates, and you need a Google Places API key. The Delivery Estimates module is not compatible with our Restrictive Shipping app.

  • I don’t process orders on holidays, so can I exclude certain dates from being factored into the estimate?

Yes! You can enter any dates to exclude them from the timeframe. The delivery estimate will reflect added processing time caused by your excluded dates.

  • If I have multiple shipping methods available, which one will the customer see in their estimate?

The Delivery Estimate module displays the estimate based on the fastest available shipping method.
